Information for New Patients

Doctors of Chiropractic are primary health care practitioners therefore you do not require a referral to see a chiropractor.

For your initial visit, please bring your Manitoba Health Card and any x-rays, imaging or medical reports related to your condition.

The time for initial consultation typically take 45 minutes to an hour. During the consultation a thorough health history will be taken and an examination performed.  You will be provided with a diagnosis (an understanding of your condition) and prognosis (predicted outcome of your condition) and a recommended course of treatment.

If chiropractic care is deemed a suitable choice of treatment, then you and the chiropractor will discuss different treatment possibilities.  Chiropractic adjustments consist of a variety of options including  manual hands on adjustments, an instrument based adjustment (ex. Activator), soft tissue therapy and mobilisations.  The best treatment will be determined based on your specific needs.
